Illinois Masonic Outreach Services Scholarship Program
The IMOS Scholarship is given annually in the amount of up to $3,000 (with the amount subject to the availability of the Endowment Fund) to Illinois Master Mason’s in good standing, spouses, or widows of the Grand Lodge of Illinois, A.F. & A.M. for assistance in pursuing academic or trade school education.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must:
Be an Illinois Master Mason in good standing for at least 15 consecutive months, a spouse, or widow of the Grand Lodge of Illinois, A.F. & A.M.
Persons of any age are encouraged to apply.
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (“B” average) in the last completed school term (e.g. high school, college, or trade school). Transcripts must accompany all applications.
Be enrolled, or eligible to enroll, in an accredited College, University, or Trade School and submit proof of enrollment in the form of a letter/certificate from the college, university, or trade school.
Priority is given to those in financial need.
Deadline
No definitive deadline; applications are reviewed as received on a monthly basis.
Renewable?
Scholarships are renewable with re-application. Awardees are eligible to reapply for the scholarship on an annual basis from the date of prior disbursement. There is no limit on the number of re-applications made.
